Shrubs in Winter

Even without leaves, many shrubs are still recognizable in late fall and winter. Learn to identify about 20 native New England shrubs through such characteristics as branching patterns, bark, persistent flowers and fruits, growth forms, galls, and habitats. We’ll also consider the natural history of these shrubs. The program will begin indoors, then we’ll head out into the Garden. Bring a bag lunch and a hand lens.

Fee: $53 (Member) / $64 (Nonmember)
