Fall Conference 2017 — The New MACC Academy

We're “changing course” this year at Fall Conference!

Conference was sold out!

Thank you very much for your support

Catch up on your training in the Fundamentals, learn how to obtain funding from the state for Climate Vulnerability Preparedness projects in your community, or take new classes in peer reviews, permitting projects in floodplains, or wetlands enforcement. There will be something of interest for everyone—whether you are new on a Conservation Commission, new to MACC, a consultant, an attorney, or a volunteer, you will find valuable courses in wetlands-related issues as well as a great networking opportunity.

Guest Speaker
Kathleen Theoharides, Assistant Secretary of Climate Change at EEA, will discuss climate vulnerability preparedness funding that EEA recently provided to 71 municipalities across the Commonwealth. Find out how your community can apply for EEA funding.

This year we are offering eight (8) units of Fundamentals for Conservation Commissioners so you can start, or possibly complete, your certificate training.

We're also launching our newest unit, Unit 207-Fundamentals of Wetlands Enforcement. In addition, we have two (2) new workshops taught by local experts: Peer Reviews: When, Why, and How to Hire Outside Consultants, and Rivers Beyond their Banks: Reviewing and Permitting Projects in Rivers and Floodplains.

All morning/afternoon classes run concurrently and are 2.5 hours in duration; attend one unit or workshop in the morning and a different one in the afternoon.

Shop our MACC publications table with selections perfect for the beginner, hobbyist and experienced naturalist. Our handbook, field guides, manuals and regulations will all be available for purchase.
