Botanical Inventory Methods and Techniques

 

This one-day intensive begins by covering the fundamentals of field preparation, including the use of field guides, aerial photography, GIS (geographic information system) resources, sampling strategies, and preparation of field data forms. Next, we will conduct an extensive field inventory of the flora on nearby conservation land, identifying and recording the species we encounter and putting into practice the methods discussed. You will learn botanical survey approaches and methods for cataloging the vascular plants on conservation land.
