Our Stream Continuity Program trains volunteers, municipal officials, and conservation organizations to assess road-stream crossings (culverts and bridges) followingNorth Atlantic Aquatic Connectivity Collaborative (NAACC)protocols. These methods can identify fish & wildlife barriers as well as undersized structures that may be at risk for damage during storms. Towns use the information gathered to prioritize and plan for culvert replacement projects and to support grant applications and funding requests. We have begun scheduling trainings for this spring and currently have four on the calendar beginning in March.
