At the Legislature

We comment on and help draft legislation when our participation can help conservation commissions and protect wetlands, open space, and biological diversity. Some of our work is proactive, advocating for bills that will make the law better. Some of our work is reactive, making sure bad bills are not passed into law or are modified to eliminate the unacceptable provisions. Often, we put together or are part of coalitions of conservation and environmental organizations working on legislative initiatives. These are recent examples of our legislative advocacy:
